Celestron CCD NexImage 5 camera
Celestron’s new 5 megapixel camera has multiple new features. It is equipped with Micron Digital Clarity technology to reduce noise. Images with a resolution in the sub-arc-second range can be produced with most telescopes and even live broadcast to PCs. The software automatically filters out very grainy images so that only the sharpest photos are processed to create high-quality final results. Additionally, it enables gain, contrast, exposure time, frame rate and colour intensity to be set manually on your PC. 2x2 and 4x4 binning are available.
The camera is equipped with a standard 1.25" metal filter thread which is compatible with most telescopes. The camera housing has a C-thread.
Exposure times:0.0001 seconds to 30 seconds

- Pentium 4 with min. 2 Ghz, 1 GB RAM
- Win XP/Win Vista, Win7 (32 & 64 bit), /Win 10
- DirectX 9.0c or higher

- Mercury, Venus, Uranus and Neptune - not very good
- Mars, Jupiter and Saturn - good
- entire lunar disk - very good
- detailed of lunar disk - good
- entire solar disk- very good
- detail of solar disk - good
Note: Only photograph the Sun using a special solar filter.
