Autoguiding has revolutionized astrophotography.
The relatively inaccurate and tedious method of manually tracking an image, requiring almost endless gazing into a crosshair eyepiece to compensate for the worm gear periodic error and alignment error, is a thing of the past. Just allow an autoguider camera take over the work!
The StarShoot AutoGuide camera offers an extremely user friendly system for long exposures using astrophotography cameras. It is compatible with virtually all mounts which have an autoguider port, and comes with software and all the necessary cables - allowing you to get to work immediately.
The camera comes equipped with a high resolution ½'' 1.3 megapixel CMOS B/W sensor with a pixel size of 5.2µ x 5.2µ, guaranteeing very accurate tracking. It also allows smaller telescopes with shorter focal lengths to be used for tracking due to the extremely small pixels. The chip is housed in a very compact anodized aluminium housing only 6.3 x 6cm and weighs just 140 grams.
The camera comes with a 1.25" adapter, which can simply be unscrewed and replaced with a T-2 connector.
Due to the ease of use of StarShoot AutoGuiders and the included software, which requires no previous knowledge, astrophotography becomes almost child's play. Automatic calibration and tracking with the autoguider needs only a mouse click.
The camera is powered via the USB 2.0 port of your PC, using the USB cable supplied, so no additional power supply is needed.
The StarShoot AutoGuider means accurate tracking of deep sky objects for astrophotography is simpler and more efficient than ever.
