One of the advantages of the ATERA II-binoculars is you can easily bring out to anywhere for observing but shaking can prevent you from looking at your observing target. It will be obvious when the binoculars bring high magnifications.
The built-in vibration canceller prevents the binoculars from shaking.
The ATERA II comes equipped with the vibration canceller system that originates from a 2-axis gimbal control image stabilization mechanism. This enables us to effectively compensate image shifts of +/- 3 degrees at vibration correction angle (with all directions) and offers a stable field of view of the binoculars. Even micro-vibrations are controlled successfully, and you will be able to enjoy observing a glow in a bird's eyes and a look of bird feathers in detail. With the use of star watching, you will be able to notice fainter stars that are hard to see with the ordinary binoculars due to the effectiveness of the vibration canceller.
Two anti-vibration modes to your preference.
The binoculars come equipped with two anti-vibration modes that can be selectable according to use scenes. V1 Mode: Absorbs small vibrations moved jitterly. (This mode is preferable to use when you want to look at a moving object.) V2 Mode: Absorbs large vibrations moved slowly. (This mode is preferable to use when you want to appreciate a stationary object.)
Lightweight design allows for handling with one hand easily.
Highly lightweight for binoculars equipped with a full-dress anti-vibration mechanism. You can keep holding the binoculars with one hand with no fatigue for a long time.
The ATERA II 14x42 weighs e.g. 559 grams (without batteries) and has the dimensions 181 x 117 x 68mm.
Operating duration of 12 hours with AAA batteries.
Two AAA batteries are used for the power source. As the AAA batteries are obtainable in most places, you can willingly bring the ATERA II H12x30 to an outdoor observing field or live event. It works for 12 hours with the batteries, and there is no need to care about the consumption of the batteries (at 20 degrees C ambient temperature and with the use of Alkaline batteries).
Three types of optical coatings for a brighter and clearer field of view.
Each of the lens surfaces is coated with multilayers of anti-reflection coatings. The prisms are phase coated to reduce halation and enhance resolution greatly. Besides a high reflection coating is applied. These three types of optical coatings eliminate stray light and loss of light thoroughly to achieve an extremely bright and clear field of view.
The shape of easy-to-handle form and excellent operability.
The comfortable rounded form makes it easy to use, even for women with small hands. The focus ring is turned smoothly with one finger with a light touch. Universal design for either right or left-handed. By positioning the battery compartment which occupies the volume in space to a location where fingers do not reach, we focus on ease of holding. Considering the loss of parts in the dark like concert halls, the battery cover is tied with a band to the battery compartment for unity.
A simple appearance with an ergonomic form.
Although the binocular incorporates the full-dress mechanics of a vibration-canceling system, it has a sleek appearance and fits your hand gently. Colors are available in charcoal-grey.
