Find celestial objects - ingeniously simple and simply ingenious!
The holder
- allows most smartphones to be mounted on a telescope or binoculars
- for binoculars, the glass can be attached to a photo tripod at the same time
Have you ever had difficulty using a telescope or binoculars to find the celestial objects you want to observe? In the past, you had to carry a star atlas around with you to find your way in the night sky - today, the vast majority of smartphones with suitable software perform this task much more comfortably.
However, if you use a telescope or binoculars, the use of a smartphone is limited - the smartphone does not show exactly where the observation optics are pointing. Something that is so easy with the naked eye - comparing the smartphone screen with the sky - becomes a test of patience with higher magnification.
This is where the new Bresser smartphone holder comes to the rescue. Simply mount your smartphone directly on the observation device - whether telescope or binoculars. Then simply point the smartphone at the main optics, like a normal optical viewfinder. The display immediately shows you which position your observation device is pointing to - without any conversion or lengthy special alignment procedure!
Scope of delivery: Smartphone holder, adjustable gooseneck for easily positioning the smartphone, tripod adapter with special screw for binoculars, mounting base for adaptation on telescopes
You will of course need an astronomy app, such as SkyPortal, to use it.
