Cardboard and bamboo as climate killers?
Recently, cups and dishes have also been made of bamboo, an allegedly more environmentally friendly resource thanks to renewable raw materials. But beware: dishes and cups made of bamboo are produced with melamine resin. The majority of these cups release formaldehyde on contact with hot drinks. Furthermore, they are not suitable for microwaves and will not rot even in years. The better way is to enjoy them from returnable cups made of porcelain, for example.
