This CCD adapter from Bresser forms the basis for taking focal plane images with a Schmidt-Cassegrain or advanced coma-free telescope. It is screwed directly (without the eyepiece) into the rear end of the OTA, followed by a T2-ring (available for many SLR cameras). The camera is hence firmly attached to the telescope optics, which now serve as the lens of your camera. If the SC/T2 CCD adapter is to be used in conjunction with a focal reducer lens, the distance to the camera can be optimized by using extenders of different lengths. Each extender has a corresponding T2 thread.
