This tangential adjuster can be described as an altazimuth mount. It has a photo thread on the underside which can be mounted onto almost any tripod. Fine adjustments can then be made in both axes - azimuth and elevation - using the knurled knobs provided. It is highly convenient for attaching photographic cameras, small telescopes with a photo screw or Matsutov-Cassegrains. It is also great for taking with you when travelling if you don't want to have to carry too much.
