Like the other CEM models, the CEM26 ECON is designed for ease of use and transportation. The mount from iOptron can carry a payload of up to 12 kg and offers an extremely favorable weight-to-payload ratio of 2:6.The key to this optimized ratio is iOptron's proprietary “CEM” (Center-Balanced Equatorial Mounts) design, which directs the mount's own weight and payload directly to the center of the tripod to create a natural center of gravity. Building on the product experience of previous CEM models, further functions have been added to the new CEM26 ECON to ensure maximum comfort during use. An integrated WiFi system is now included, as well as a recordable permanent error correction / Periodic Error Correction (PEC). In terms of functionality, the CEM26 delivers precise approach and highly accurate tracking of the selected objects.The CEM26 ECON sets new standards for compact parallactic GoTo mounts of medium size! The centrally balanced mount head places the weight of the payload at the center and thus enables greater natural stability. This is also a great advantage for astrophotography!
Other features of the CEM26 ECON include a length-adjustable counterweight rod to avoid hitting the legs of the tripod when used very close to the horizon. Alignment to Polaris is now quick and possible in any position, as the integrated optical polar finder is no longer blocked by the shaft of the declination axis (this was the case with the CEM25, for example)...The CEM26 ECON is equipped with the latest Go2Nova® technology, making it one of the most powerful and accurate GoTo mounts currently available on the market! The GoTo software database contains over 212,000 objects. The Go2Nova® hand control box is intuitive to use and the large four-line LCD screen makes finding objects much easier, even in complete darkness.
