These filters are used to increase the contrast of the Moon and planets. They reveal object details more clearly. The filters fit any eyepiece and accessories with 1.25" filter thread.
Red colour filter: The blue/blue-green light is blocked. The contrast between the darker and lighter zones increases enormously. This is very helpful when observing Jupiter and Saturn, and planet Mars, for the observation of the polar caps.
Green colour filter: The green filter increases the contrasts between the red and blue regions of the cloud structures on the gas planets Jupiter and Saturn. Contrast is more evident in the radiation craters on our Earth's Moon.
Blue colour filter: The blue colour supports the observation of high cloud cover on Mars. It enhances the contrast. The dark reddish structures appear darker. Therefore, it is also the perfect filter for observing the large red spot on the gas planet Jupiter. It highlights Saturn's ring, and the structures of Venus' atmosphere become finer.
Yellow colour filter: When observing the lunar surface, the contrast is increased enormously. Likewise with the planet Mars. On the giant planet Jupiter, the contrast between the individual cloud bands is considerably increased, so that more detail becomes visible. From a telescope diameter of about 8" and very good viewing conditions, even some details on Saturn can be seen.
