The achromatic refractor AC 90/500 offers good light gathering performance due to its large aperture of 90mm. The focal length of 500mm ensures a particularly large field of view. The two properties allow very impressive widefield observations of open star clusters and the Milky Way. This instrument is not only interesting for the beginner, but also for the experienced observer. If, on the other hand, you mainly want to observe the Moon and planets, a lens with a longer focal length would be better, for example the AC 90/900.
Thanks to the extensive accessories included in the scope of delivery, you can use the telescope for sky observation immediately after unpacking. For land observation, you should still get an Amici prism.
The AZ-EQ mount can be used both azimuthally and equatorially: Simply place the mount base horizontally for nature observation or a quick look at the Moon. If you want to observe celestial objects, tilt the mount to an angle roughly corresponding to your latitude, with the tilted axis pointing North. This has the advantage that you only have to rotate continuously around one axis to hold the desired celestial object in the eyepiece.
