Omegon Advanced refractor - you will soon be at home in the solar system!
A refractor is ideal for observing the planets, the Moon and star clusters. The Omegon Advanced refractor provides an incredible amount of contrast and pin-point stars. Discover fine details, clouds and other structures on Mars, Saturn, Jupiter, etc. The Omegon Advanced refractor is your launching pad into the solar system. And it can go even further afield - to distant nebulae. Let outer space surprise you!
The advantages in a nutshell
- achromatic objective - Fraunhofer design achromatic refracting telescope
- finder scope shoe - accommodates a large range of Vixen, Celestron, Skywatcher and Omegon finder scopes
- tube ring clamps with prism rail - for quickly attaching to a mount
- robust focuser with large diameter aluminium knobs - for grip, even when wearing gloves
- inexpensive - cheaper than an apochromatic refractor and usually quite sufficient
Achromatic and coated optics
An achromatic lens is produced by combining two separate lenses elements, allowing the refractor to produce a clear and high-contrast image. This ensures thst a lot of detail can be seen when you are observing planets. The high quality optics allow the use of higher magnifications - another plus when observing planets. The lenses are multi-coated, which increases contrast and ensures that most of the light actually gets to your eye.
Easy mounting - tube clamps and prism rail
The tube clamps and prism rail ensure that you can easily and very quickly attach and secure your telescope to your mount.
Carrying handle and camera holder in one
Above all, it is the small details that make an evening observing with your telescope pleasant. This includes the carrying handle, with which you can transport your telescope and hold it secure when attaching it to your mount. It has another use as a built-in camera mount, providing your camera with a flat support. So beautiful photographs of the night sky can then be exposed in a jiffy.
LED viewfinder - To help you locate objects in the night sky more easily
For the Moon, planets or galaxies - locating astronomical objects is sometimes not so easy, especially for beginners. But Omegon's red dot finder guarantees you success.
Omegon 10mm and 25mm eyepiece set - magnify objects to observe more detail
A telescope and its eyepieces - they go together like a camera and its lenses. Only when you insert an eyepiece into a telescope do you see first an image and the magnification it gives. This very competitively priced eyepiece set consists of a 10mm and a 25mm eyepiece. These two 1.25 inch eyepieces can be the basic accessories for your first observing.
The mount
Omegon Advanced EQ-300 - sturdy equatorial mount for up to 6kg
A stable equatorial mount is the basis for any successful astronomical observing. The Omegon EQ-300 mount has a load-bearing capacity of up to 6kg, letting you choose from many different OTAs. Perhaps you have a 150mm Newtonian telescope and also want to use your 5" refractor? The EQ-300 lets you mount anything in the small to medium-sized range of telescopes.
Equatorial design - easy to follow the stars
This mount is an equatorial design. Once aligned, the mount can track stars, planets and other astronomical objects by rotating on a single axis. The advantage is that you only have to track the telescope using that one axis, making it easier to hold objects in the field of view. So you will have hours of relaxed observing and perhaps even be able to get your entire family interested in your hobby.
Precision location of the celestial pole
As with larger mounts, the two azimuth screws and two polar elevation screws ensure quick and easy alignment on the Pole Star - letting you get on with an exciting night's observing.
Preparation for a polar finder scope
If you are interested in astrophotography, then why not equip your mount with an advanced polar finder scope. This lets you increase the mount's precision and takes your astrophotography to the next level. Long exposures (motor recommended) then become possible.
Steel tripod for more stability
This stainless steel tripod provides a much more stable base for the telescope mount compared to models made from aluminium. It is exactly this steadiness that the quality of your observing ultimately depends on. The three steel legs are additionally reinforced by a metal plate giving you a tripod that will not wobble during your observing. The metal plate also has holes provided for holding your eyepieces during your observing sessions.
The advantages in a nutshell:
- stable equatorial mount
- for small to medium-size telescope OTAs
- quick-release coupling for OTAs with prism rails
- track objects precisely using the slow-motion controls
- with extendable stainless steel tripod - adjustable and ultra-stable
- 4.3 kg counterweight
- upgradable motor available for automatic tracking
