You can connect this holder to the telescope tube in the same way as you would with a finder. If you have a planetarium app installed on your smartphone, for example SkyPortal by Celestron, you can display the section of the sky that your camera is pointed at on your smartphone. You can, for example, call up background information about objects, or view the section of the sky on the display before you pan your telescope.
The 32mm wide dovetail bar fits on the finder shoe of every Synta (Skywatcher) and GSO telescope.
The adapter is adjustable and padded to protect the smartphone.
